Bunco Cookout

We went to a family cookout with the Bunco girls on Saturday. Thank you Erica for hosting it. We had a great time! Davis and Fisher don't love being in the grass so I was a little worried how things would go. After a little while they didn't mind it and they ended up having a lot of fun!

Welcome to the world Lucy!

Lesley and Jackson are the proud parents of Lucy Claire who was born on April 30th. She is so adorable! Congrats Lesley and Jackson!

The Big 3-0!

Well I turned 30 about a week ago and I had a fabulous birthday weekend. Thank you so much for all the phone calls, cards, emails, and texts. I really appreciate them and they made the day that much more special. Kelly and Michael came into town and we went out for a nice dinner on Saturday night. My parents kept the boys overnight so I got to sleep the ENTIRE night. Before that I couldn't remember the last time I got a full night's sleep. As soon as we woke up Evan went to get the boys so I could celebrate with them. They spoiled me with gifts- jewelry, a spa package, a movie, gift cards, and a book. We went out for an early lunch with my parents and then came home for naps (me included). That afternoon we grilled out and played outside to complete the fabulous day. Thanks to everyone who made my birthday so special!!

Davis and Fisher turn 1!

Fisher and Davis turned one at the end of April. They had a safari theme and the cake matched the invitation perfectly. The favors were monkey bath toys, jungle stamps, and safari animal suckers. We served pizza for dinner and cake for dessert. Lots of family and friends shared this special day with us. Thank you so much for coming to the party. I know some of you had to travel and we appreciate you making the drive for this special occasion. They love all of their toys they got and have been playing with them non-stop ever since. I was hoping the kids would be able to go outside and play, but it was too hot. It ended up being 93 outside so everyone stayed inside. We were packed like sardines in the den, but it was so much fun and totally chaotic which fits us perfectly. I think Fisher and Davis really enjoyed playing with the other kids. Fisher was still battling double ear infections so he wasn't feeling the greatest, but I still think he had a good time. They loved their birthday cake and enjoyed drinking Coke and Sprite that their grandparents were giving them. :-) Needless to say they had a major sugar rush and didn't go to bed until about 9:30. I took over 100 pictures at the party so I decided to do a slideshow since I had so many. Thanks again for celebrating with us!

My Nana

On Thursday, April 16th my sweet Nana left this world and made her journey to heaven. Nana- I miss you so much! You brought so much joy to our family and I am thankful for the 29 years we had together. It was hard not having you at the boys first birthday party, but I know you were smiling down us. I know you are in a much better place and I am so thankful that you are not in pain anymore.

Thank you everyone for all the sweet cards and the meals you brought us. It was a lifesaver to not have to figure out dinner after being gone for basically a week. All of the meals were wonderful and real thank you notes are coming soon. :-)

Easter

We had a very busy Easter. We went to the 8:45 service at church which is our contemporary service and kids are welcome so we took the boys with us. We were only 5 minutes late! I couldn't believe it. Yall know me, I'm always late just by myself. But trying to get 2 squirmy boys dressed and fed all by 8:30 was tough. The service was beautiful and the boys did pretty good except that when the preacher was giving the sermon they decided it would be a good time to squeal and talk. I guess they liked what he was saying. We stepped out for a few minutes during the sermon, but they really enjoyed the music. After church we headed out of town to eat lunch with Evan's family. Evan's Nene cooked a FABULOUS lunch and as always I ate way too much. When we got back home my parents came over and we played in the backyard for a while before enjoying pizza for dinner. The Easter bunny also came to visit the boys and left them a few goodies. We hope you had a wonderful Easter!

McCain's 1st Birthday

We went to McCain's birthday party several weeks ago and we had so much fun. Thanks for inviting us McCain; we had a great time. The boys got a trial run with birthday cake and they loved it! His party was a construction theme and everyone got hard hats. Although the boys wouldn't wear them I think they will like them when they get a little older. :-)

Happy Birthday Fisher and Davis!

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby boys! I can't believe you are a year old already. You bring so much joy to my life. I love you so much. I look forward to watching you grow up into handsome young men.

Evan came home from work a little early on their birthday and we went on a wagon ride and then we went to my parents house for dinner. My mom made chicken tettrazini and the boys really liked it. Then we all had cupcakes for dessert. As you can tell from the pictures their cupcakes were red velvet hence the red all over their face, ears, and hair. :-) They both ate every single bite! Thank you so much for all the cards and birthday messages. I played the messages for them so they could hear you singing and wishing them a great day.

The Park

We met Katherine, Tommy, Allie and McCain at the park on Saturday to enjoy the beautiful weather. We had a lot of fun! Fisher and Davis had never been to the park before and they really enjoyed it for the most part. They both loved the swings. Fisher liked sitting on some of the other toys, but was a little unsure of the dirt and sand. I set Davis on the bottom of the slide, but he didn't like it too much.
