Home Sweet Home

We got our CO on Friday so we can officially move in. We started moving a few things this past weekend, but we decided to ease into it. All of the furniture will be delivered on Friday so we're planning on staying there this weekend. I've almost finished the nursery and once I do I'll post some pictures. I'm still waiting on their names for the wall and a picture to come in. I ordered both back in March so I'm hoping they will be done soon. I hate it took me this long to post pictures of the boys, but I haven't had the chance to use Evan's work computer. Once we're in the house I'll be able to post more often because our personal computer will be hooked up .

The Boys are Here!

The boys made their debut on April 29. Fisher was able to come home from the hospital with us, but Davis had to stay in the NICU for 9 more days. He finally got to come home on May 10. It was the best Mother's Day present to have both of the boys home together. Recovering from the delivery has been really tough and I'm so glad that I'm finally on the road to recovery. I'm finally feeling somewhat normal other than being sleep deprived. :-)

Blessed

I'm officially 35 weeks today. Yeah!! We had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything went great. We are so blessed! Week after week we get GREAT reports and I am so thankful for that. My doctors are going to take me off my contraction meds next week and let nature take its course so it won't be long before Fisher and Davis arrive. :-) They said the longest they would let me go would be 37 weeks though so the boys will definitely arrive sometime in the next two weeks. My belly is continuing to grow so I posted some pics below for you to see. I'm wearing one of the 2 pairs of pants that still fit and one of Evan's t-shirts. As you can tell in the pic Evan's shirt is starting to get a little snug across the belly so hopefully I can manage to squeeze in them for a couple more weeks.

On a sidenote, thank you so much for all the emails and phone calls to check on me. It really means a lot! I'm so lucky to have friends and family who care so much about me and these boys.

Growing Boys

We had 2 good reports this week. I went for a regular check on Tuesday and the doctor said everything looked great. He said I was showing good growth in my belly and that I was all baby. I knew I was showing growth in my belly considering my clothes don't fit anymore. :-) I'm now sporting Evan's T-shirts.

We went for another growth ultrasound this morning and we got good news again. Everything looked wonderful with the babies and they are growing right on track. Baby A weighs 4 lbs. 13 oz. and Baby B weighs 5 lbs. 3 oz. I can't believe they're that big already! Both of them are head down, side by side so it looks like I will have some delivery options unless things change. I'm a little over 33 weeks so I've almost made it to my goal! Thanks again for all your prayers!

Doctor's Appointment

I've made it to 32 weeks, which is another big marker for twin pregnancies! Yahoo! I had a doctor's appointment this morning and everything looked good. I'm still having contractions, but she said again today that as long as I don't have 6 in an hour then it's ok. I think the most I've had is 4 or 5. We discussed delivery options and I will most likely have a C-section, but we're going to talk about it again in a couple of weeks. I have to go every week to the doctor now and we'll go back for another growth ultrasound the week after next. I can't wait to find out how much the boys weigh. I know they have grown because my belly is continuing to get bigger (I think by the minute). Pretty soon I'm going to need a forklift to get off the couch. :-) I'll try to post more belly pics soon! Thanks for all your prayers. They're working!

House Pics

Several people having been asking to see pictures of the house so I thought I would post a few. Things are moving right along and we hope to be in the house in a few weeks. They're painting this week and are finishing up laying the tile. Almost all the pictures I have are from the outside, but I'll try to post more of the inside once we take them. :-)

From Basketball to Beach Ball

Well, I no longer have a basketball. It looks more like a beach ball now. In the pics below I'm a little over 30 weeks. I swear my belly gets bigger every day. It's also getting harder and harder to get around, but since I'm on bedrest it doesn't pose too much of a problem. I guess it's normal to be exhausted during the 3rd trimester. I'm even worn out after taking a shower. Please pray that I can make it 5 1/2 more weeks. Every day that I make it is that much better for the boys.

Pregnancy Update

We had quite a scare the week before last. I went into pre-term labor and was admitted to the hospital for two days. They finally were able to get my contractions under control with meds. I'm still on the medicine and it seems to be really helping. I am still having some contractions, but they are definitely better. Despite the pre-term labor, the babies are fabulous! We had another growth scan while in the hospital and the boys are growing like they should be . Baby A weighed 2 lbs. 14 oz. and Baby B weighed 3 lbs. 3 oz. I'm now on modified bedrest until the babies come. I'm allowed to get up to shower, eat, and go to the bathroom. Other than that I have to be laying or sitting down. Even though it's frustrating at times, it will be totally worth it! Anything I can do to keep these babies in the "oven" a little longer. :)

Winnsboro Shower

My family threw me a shower too. Thanks to Nana, Carol, Lou, Jane, Catie, Jennifer, Lacey, and Shirley for hosting it. Once again I had another fabulous shower! Thanks to everyone who came and all the great gifts. I wasn't able to get a picture with the hostesses because my camera batteries died, but I did manage to get some candid shots.

FC Shower

Friends from my old school threw me a shower and it was so much fun. Thanks to Tracy, Judy, and Katherine for hosting it! It was so good to see all my District 5 friends. We laughed so hard that afternoon. My belly was bruised for days!!!! Here's a few pics from the shower. Thanks to everyone who came and for all the GREAT gifts!

I had my first baby shower this past weekend and it was so much fun! A big thank you to Miss Judy, Katherine, Miss Linda and Lesley for hosting it. I got so many wonderful gifts. Thanks everybody! Fisher and Davis will love all of them. I posted a few pics of the shower, but I didn't get very many because my camera battery died. :( I really wanted to take more friend and family shots so I could get pics of everyone who came.

Welcome to my blog!

I decided to set up my blog now because once the boys arrive I don't know if I will have time to figure out how to do it. This will give me some practice time. I'll post occasionally before they get here, but the majority of it will be about them :-)
