Lowcountry Boil

Evan and I were supposed to throw Kelly and Michael a couples shower back in April, but since I was on bedrest we had to cancel it. So we threw them a post wedding party. It was so much fun! Friends and family gathered for a lowcountry boil and then Michael and Kelly spent the night with us. They were our first house guests. :-) Davis and Fisher attended the party as well as Cameron, Jamie and Leanne's little boy and they thoroughly enjoyed it because they got to be held the entire time! A good time was had by all.

The Happy Couple

Notice in the picture above that we have no grass, just red dirt. I'm happy to report that as of today we do have some green patches. :-)

Father's Day

We always travel for Father's Day and we alternate each year between Evan's family and my family. But this year Evan wanted to stay home for his first Father's Day. We had a lot of work to do around the house so we spent the day hanging out with the boys, unpacking boxes, and cleaning. I told Evan that I would pick up lunch from wherever he wanted so he chose a very gourmet place --Jack in the Box. We dined on fried chicken sandwiches, jalapeno poppers, and french fries. What a nutritious and healthy lunch! After lunch we gave Evan his Father's Day presents. Fisher and Davis bought him a new bathing suit for our beach trip so he could take them swimming in the ocean. Sunday night my parents came over for pizza. My dad got a bathing suit too and a Hardee's gift card. My dad eats lunch at Hardee's every day during the work week. I'm not kidding when I say every day. He doesn't even have to order anymore. They know exactly what he wants when he gets there so his gift card will definitely come in handy.

Kylee's Birthday Party

Fisher and Davis were invited to their second birthday party, but it was at the park and it was extremely hot that day so I left them at home and attended the festivities solo. They were very sorry they couldn't come. Kylee had a Dora party to celebrate her big day. She had a wonderful time! Drew made shirts for Kylee, Heather, and Tory to wear at the party. They were so cute. I posted a pic of them below.

Doesn't Kylee look like here Mommy?

Allie's Birthday Party

The boys went to their first birthday party. Allie turned 2 and she had a cookout to celebrate her big day! Davis and Fisher slept almost the whole time in their carriers, but I got some cute shots of the birthday girl.

Jealousy

My mom was holding both of the boys while I made bottles and Tucker felt left out so he jumped up on the couch to have snuggle time with Gran.

Our Anniversary

Evan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Thursday. We went to eat at ChopHouse on Friday night to celebrate. I was worried I would fall asleep in my mashed potatoes because I was so tired, but I managed not too. :-) We had a great time! That was the first date we have had since February. I took a picture to document that I had actually showered and gotten dressed that day. Even though he doesn't have it on in the pic, Evan did wear a dress shirt to dinner, but took it off as soon as we got home. I made him take a picture anyway. :-)

Davis had been screaming for a while and Fisher had had enough!
Fisher had a poopy diaper and Davis thought he smelled bad. :-)

First Road Trip

This past weekend Kelly and Michael tied the knot. Evan and I were both in the wedding so the boys went on their first road trip. We were a little worried as to how it would go, but everything went great. They slept the whole way down there and the whole way back, thank goodness. My parents came with us for the weekend to help take care of the boys and then Evan's parents came on Saturday to help with them too. We couldn't have done it without them!!! The wedding was absolutely beautiful. We had so much fun and it was so good to see lots of friends that we hadn't seen in a while.

Heather and Davis

Heather was a big help too. She helped out with the boys while Evan and I got ready. She even changed poopy diapers! What a true friend!

Sunday

On Sunday morning Kelly's parents hosted a brunch for out of town guests and the wedding party. It started at 11:00 and Evan and I managed to get packed up and get there at 12:15. If it wasn't for Wally and his girlfriend Julie helping us pack up I don't know what time we would have gotten there. I'm still working on my time management skills with getting the boys ready. :-) I didn't feel too bad once I realized Kelly and Michael only got there about 10 minutes before we did!

Our friend Wally (Bryan) just got back from being stationed in Italy and he came to the wedding. I had not seem him in several years and I was so excited about getting to spend time with him. He brought his girlfriend Julie with him and she was so sweet.

Kelly and Michael Come to Visit

"Aunt Kelly" and "Uncle Michael" came to visit a couple of weeks ago. They came to spend time with the boys and to help us with the house. We appreciate all your help that day and for the meals you brought us. We had the chicken and squash casserole this past week and it was fabulous!

Home Sweet Home

We got our CO on Friday so we can officially move in. We started moving a few things this past weekend, but we decided to ease into it. All of the furniture will be delivered on Friday so we're planning on staying there this weekend. I've almost finished the nursery and once I do I'll post some pictures. I'm still waiting on their names for the wall and a picture to come in. I ordered both back in March so I'm hoping they will be done soon. I hate it took me this long to post pictures of the boys, but I haven't had the chance to use Evan's work computer. Once we're in the house I'll be able to post more often because our personal computer will be hooked up .

The Boys are Here!

The boys made their debut on April 29. Fisher was able to come home from the hospital with us, but Davis had to stay in the NICU for 9 more days. He finally got to come home on May 10. It was the best Mother's Day present to have both of the boys home together. Recovering from the delivery has been really tough and I'm so glad that I'm finally on the road to recovery. I'm finally feeling somewhat normal other than being sleep deprived. :-)

Blessed

I'm officially 35 weeks today. Yeah!! We had another doctor's appointment yesterday and everything went great. We are so blessed! Week after week we get GREAT reports and I am so thankful for that. My doctors are going to take me off my contraction meds next week and let nature take its course so it won't be long before Fisher and Davis arrive. :-) They said the longest they would let me go would be 37 weeks though so the boys will definitely arrive sometime in the next two weeks. My belly is continuing to grow so I posted some pics below for you to see. I'm wearing one of the 2 pairs of pants that still fit and one of Evan's t-shirts. As you can tell in the pic Evan's shirt is starting to get a little snug across the belly so hopefully I can manage to squeeze in them for a couple more weeks.

On a sidenote, thank you so much for all the emails and phone calls to check on me. It really means a lot! I'm so lucky to have friends and family who care so much about me and these boys.

Growing Boys

We had 2 good reports this week. I went for a regular check on Tuesday and the doctor said everything looked great. He said I was showing good growth in my belly and that I was all baby. I knew I was showing growth in my belly considering my clothes don't fit anymore. :-) I'm now sporting Evan's T-shirts.

We went for another growth ultrasound this morning and we got good news again. Everything looked wonderful with the babies and they are growing right on track. Baby A weighs 4 lbs. 13 oz. and Baby B weighs 5 lbs. 3 oz. I can't believe they're that big already! Both of them are head down, side by side so it looks like I will have some delivery options unless things change. I'm a little over 33 weeks so I've almost made it to my goal! Thanks again for all your prayers!

Doctor's Appointment

I've made it to 32 weeks, which is another big marker for twin pregnancies! Yahoo! I had a doctor's appointment this morning and everything looked good. I'm still having contractions, but she said again today that as long as I don't have 6 in an hour then it's ok. I think the most I've had is 4 or 5. We discussed delivery options and I will most likely have a C-section, but we're going to talk about it again in a couple of weeks. I have to go every week to the doctor now and we'll go back for another growth ultrasound the week after next. I can't wait to find out how much the boys weigh. I know they have grown because my belly is continuing to get bigger (I think by the minute). Pretty soon I'm going to need a forklift to get off the couch. :-) I'll try to post more belly pics soon! Thanks for all your prayers. They're working!
