Finally!

Finally these outfits sort of fit the boys. I had seen these outfits at Baby Gap last spring and I loved them, but I didn't end up buying them. Then my mom surprised me with them at one of my showers. The smallest size they came in was 0-3 months so they were too big for them during the summer. I tried them a couple of weeks ago and they kind of fit. Yeah! I could never get both of them to look at the camera at the same time. It's hard enough to get one baby to look, but try two. :-)>

Happy 4 months Fisher and Davis!!!

The Dog Did It

Evan's Aunt Debra gave us the cutest onesies for the boys. I just had to share a picture of them. Poor Tucker!

Grammie and Big Phil's Visit

Evan's parents came to Greenville to do some shopping last weekend so they stopped by to see the boys and hang out for a while. We went to dinner at Sticky Fingers and the boys did great. They didn't make a peep the whole time. We took some family photos while they were here. Evan's mom has decided to be called Grammie, but his dad is still deciding so until then he'll be Big Phil. :-)

New Jammies

We've now stopped swaddling the boys at night so they are sleeping in footed PJ's now. When we were swaddling them they slept in onsies because the swaddles kept them so warm. We bought the one Fisher is sporting in honor of his Aunt Debra. She's going to love them. I love the feet! Aren't they cute? They have a horse on them too but his hand is covering it.

Not Quite Big Enough

My favorite toy we bought for the boys is a rainforest jumperoo. It didn't have an age range on the box so we thought we'd try it out to see if they could use it yet. They're not quite tall enough so we had to improvise. I knew those paper boxes that I saved would come in handy one day. :-)

Dinner and Dessert

My brother and sister-in-law came to visit a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my dad's birthday. We all went out to dinner and Lacey and Matt kept the boys for us. Thanks Lacey and Matt! We really appreciate it! My Nana and Granddaddy and Jane, Mark, Joseph, and Dru were in town too. Mark and Joseph were competing in a triathlon that Sunday so they stayed with us Saturday night. After we got back from dinner everyone came to our house for dessert. Jim and Ashley made a homemade peach pie. It was DELICIOUS!!! I wish I had taken more pictures that night, but we were all so busy chatting I forgot. :-) It was like a mini family reunion.

Leaky Pipes

Last weekend as we were getting the boys ready for their nightly bath, we had a slight problem. We filled the boys bathtub up and we left the water running in the sink so we wouldn't have to readjust the temperature. We went to get towels and get Davis undressed and when we came back in the kitchen there was water all over the floor and it was continuing to spill out of the cabinet underneath the sink. Somehow the pipes had come apart so the water that should have been running down the drain was running underneath our cabinet and onto the kitchen floor. So I'm standing there with Davis who is completely naked while Evan is on the floor putting the pipes back together. Everything that we had stored under the cabinet was getting soaked so we put it up on the counter so I could dry it off. I was focused on getting everything dried off and out of the corner of my eye I saw something flying through the air so I turned to watch Davis finish tee-teeing all over Evan's back. About the same time Evan looks up with a shocked look. At this point I'm laughing hysterically and Evan is not. He didn't think it was funny at all which made me laugh even harder. Eventually he saw the humor in it, but not until after he finished putting the pipes back together. I took some pics and posted them below. The first one is of the water running on our floor and the second one is of Evan's back. :-) What an eventful night!

My Favorite Thing to Do

Thank goodness for swings!!!! Davis absolutely LOVES to swing and I don't know what we'd do without ours. That's pretty much the only toy that Davis is content in for more than 5 minutes. He will play in the bouncy seat or lay on his playmat for a little while, but he will swing as long as you'll let him. I took a pic of him and he was getting ready to take a bath so he's shirtless. He looks like a little redneck!

Daddy Time

Nap Time

I am trying to get the boys on a better schedule. They do great at night, but during the day they don't have a set routine. They take several naps throughout the day, but it's usually in the bouncy seat, glider or swing. So I decided I would put them down in their crib and let them take a nap. I left them in there for about an hour and a half and would go check on them every 20 minutes or so. They didn't sleep a wink. They played the whole time. I took a picture to document their first "nap" in their crib. So much for trying... :-)

Tummy Time

I only have pictures of Fisher during tummy time because every time I lay Davis down on his tummy he screams. He rolled over for the first time at the end of July and soon as he rolled over on his back it scared him and he started crying hysterically. Ever since then, when I put him down for tummy time he cries. I wouldn't have thought that he could have remembered that and maybe he doesn't, but he loved tummy time up until that point. Who knows... I'm hoping he will start to like it again or he's never going to get the hang of rolling over.

Heather's Baby Shower

I went to a baby shower for Heather a couple of weeks ago and we had so much fun. It was at the Overlook Grill and the food was delicious! Kelly made a cookie cake and even decorated it herself. It was sooo good-- I ate 2 big pieces! :-) Baby Talon will be arriving sometime this week. Yeah!!!!! Heather we're thinking about you and we can't wait to meet Talon!

Hickey

You probably haven't thought about that word since high school, but Fisher officially has his first hickey. Actually two of them, and no it did not come from a girl. He gave it to himself. :-) After they ate this morning we were giving them some tummy time and Fisher decided that he was bored with that so he decided to suck on his arm. I saw him laying there with his mouth on his arm, but I had no idea the damage he could do. I posted a picture below. It looks awful although the picture makes it look worse than it really is. I really think he would suck on a bottle 24 hours a day!

Bath Time

The boys are really enjoying their bath time more. When we first started giving them baths they would just scream the whole time and we finally figured out the water was too cold for them. We were using a rubber duck that tells you if the water is too hot and I could turn the water almost all the way to the cold side and it would register too hot. So now we choose a temperature that feels warm and they are perfectly content.
